We had a half finished project on our hall, stairs and landings. A decorator had previously abandoned the task of painting and papering two stairwells and connecting upper hallway. To add to the confusion our cats had abused the heavy blown vinyl wallpaper that had been hung on the lower part of the walls.

Peter’s solution was to strip the lower walls and replace the paper with lining paper and with paint, which matched the upper wallpaper. The colour match he applied with the paint was spot on. As the previous decorator had been employed some while ago, he could only go so far along due to other related building works. The paper he had hung was older and had taken on a different shade than the rolls of paper Peter was now opening to use.

Added to this was the realisation that when the paper was bought as one batch, it was in fact supplied with two different batch numbers - Oh No! Without fear Peter was here! He used all his skills to ensure that any difference in colour match or shading was hidden using natural shadows thrown by both daylight and the electric lighting installed.

The finished project was everything that we had hoped for. The whole place took on an air of quality with the superior paper hanging and the smooth paint finish.
